In the past the collection of information to measure the success of health gains for the Preventable Chronic Disease Strategy (PCDS) has been fragmented and poorly defined.
This inaugural Preventable Chronic Disease Strategy 2000 Report provides baseline data information that offers high level quantitative information to support purchasers and funders to make appropriate policy and purchasing decisions. The Health Information Framework ensures that data is analysed in a consistent manner to allow trend comparison over the coming years and assess whether the PCDS aims and objectives are being met.
