Abstract |
This policy is to provide direction and guidance to ensure that all construction, renovation, installation and maintenance activities on healthcare sites are undertaken in a safe and appropriate manner to reduce the risk of infection to at-risk patients. The document outlines the risk factors contributing to nosocomial invasive aspergillosis, and other environmental pathogens, and identifies at-risk patient groups. Recommendations are made as to the measures that can be undertaken to reduce these health risks.
