Abstract
Diabetes is a common illness now both in Aboriginal people and European people. The Diabetes Prevention and Control Program is trying to help these people to live a normal life in society. Diabetes has complications for all these people if they don't take care of themselves. There are health staffs all over Australia who can assist and provide help to people with diabetes. In the communities Health Workers are the program educators. They ref er these people to a specialist and in turn make the lives of people with diabetes more comfortable. They provide primary health care to the person with diabetes and their families.
