A mosquito survey was carried out around Maningrida from 3-6 March 1981 and the results are presented in the report "Mosquito Survey 3-6 March 1981". The survey did not detect any Aedes aegypti but did detect a high number of Culex annulirostris mosquitoes and indicated potential problems from other mosquito vectors.
