Abstract
The management of common scabies infestation has pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic elements. Pharmacologic intervention consists of anti-parasitic agents and treatments for any associated bacterial infections, dermatitis and pruritus. Non-pharmacologic interventions comprise household management, the treatment of contacts and addressing of the primordial factors that contribute to scabies infestation.
