Abstract
In October 1994 the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) monthly population survey included a supplementary paper for Territory Health Services (THS) on Health Behaviours and Related Risk Factors. The survey investigated people's behaviour in relation to food consumption and smoking. Questions were also asked about attitudes to smoking in enclosed public places. The survey was administered across the Territory to people 18 years and over. Only information from Darwin is reported here due to the low numbers of people sampled from elsewhere in the Territory. The main findings of the survey on food consumption are summarised below. Page 2 missing in original.
