Groote Eylandt is an island located off the east coast of the Northern Territory on the Gulf of Carpentaria. Although the island is an Aboriginal Reserve there is a considerable non Aboriginal population located on leases associated with the Groote Eylandt Mining Company and Skonis Prawn Fishing Base. The object of this survey is to confirm the absence of Aedes aegypti on Groote Eylandt.
