On 23 August 1995, Mr Michael Owen from the Kunbarllanjnja Community Government Council requested that Medical Entomolgy Branch conduct a mosquito survey and provide advice on the community's mosquito problem This request was a result of the Council passing a resolution to purchase a fogging machine to address the community's mosquito problem In response to the request, two officers from the Medical Entomology Branch conducted a survey of the area on 5-6 September 1995.
