A survey of container breeding mosquitoes was conducted in three communities on Groote Eylandt over the period January 21-23, 1981 to check for the presence of the dengue vector Aedes aegypti. Communities visited were the G.E.M.C.O. town, Alyangula and the aboriginal communities at Umbakumba and Angurugu.
