The Adult Standard Treatment Protocol Manual for "top end" rural/ Aboriginal communities has been written to improve the clinical management of patients living in remote areas. It is intended for use by rural doctors, nurse practitioners and Aboriginal health workers. Standard treatment protocols were a recommendation of the Aboriginal Deaths in Custody Royal Commission. These standard treatment protcols are only endorsed for use by practitioners in rural Northern Territory "top end" communities.
