Abstract
The Northern Territory Health Department laboratories provide a Pathology service restricted to the hospitals
and Regions in which they are geographically located, with the exception of Royal Darwin and Alice Springs.
Alice Springs provides a backup and referral service for Tennant Creek, and Royal Darwin provides a highly
automated specialist referral service for all hospitals in the Northern Territory.
