Abstract
Population Studies show that Territorians as a group are significantly younger than people living in most other parts of Australia, and this would seem to be reflected in the age range of patients admitted to the Royal Darwin Hospital.
Cardiac Arrest is therefore probably less common here than in many Southern Hospitals - however given the younger mean age of our patients then successful cardiac resuscitation becomes more rewarding.
