Title
Guidelines for the investigation and treatment of infants at risk of congenital syphilis in the Northern Territory
Author(s)
Department of Health
Abstract
The diagnosis of congenital syphilis is complex and there is no single “gold standard” test. The majority of affected infants are asymptomatic at birth. Neonatal risk is determined principally by maternal serology during pregnancy or at delivery and her previous history, if any, of syphilis management.
