Abstract
The review of the Northern Territory Taxi Subsidy Scheme was initiated by the Department of

The primary aim of the review was to develop assessment criteria which allow applicants to be
prioritised according to need, and to revise the administrative process and documentation to
conform with criteria. Inclusion of the Home and Community Care Program criteria for
funding was to be specifically addressed. Wait-listed clients were to be assessed and a review
of current Scheme participants undertaken.
