Abstract
The proposed Howard of River East Aquaculture Project lease (NT Portion 3601, Koolpinyah Locality) consists largely of estuarine salt flats and flood plains with fresh water inflow during the wet season. The area covers 2160 hectares. This report is an initial assessment of current biting insect problems associated with the lease site and possible future biting insect problems with the development of the site.
