Abstract |
The 1999/2000 Commonwealth budget allocated $42.977 million nationally over a four year period in two (2) areas: Hepatitis C Prevention and Education Initiatives ($12.4 million) and Support Measures for Needle and Syringe Programs ($30.577 million). The Territory received $1,036,435.00 of this allocation. In the Territory it was decided, in conjunction with the Commonwealth, to pool the money from these two (2) initiatives in
the first year to conduct a Hepatitis C, Injecting Drug Use and Needle and Syringe Program Needs Assessment in order to ensure that future activities were based on identified need. Page 124 missing in original document.
