It is the policy of the Department of Health and Community Services to conduct a Child and Adolescent Health Screening Program which incorporates the recommended immunization schedule for the Northern Territory. The aim of the program is to: ensure early detection of handicaps and disabilities which may interfere with normal growth and development; immunize children in order to protect them against specific disease.
