Abstract
There were reduced numbers of saltmarsh mosquitoes in the Leanyer area despite record wet season rains. This result followed a record number of helicopter spray operations of the salt marshes and indicated that mosquito control efforts have been effective.
Record numbers of salt marsh mosquitoes were recorded in the Casuarina Coastal Reserve near Darwin and follow-up discussions were conducted to rectify the problem sites.
