Drug Education is an integral part of Health Education. However, because of the huge personal and social
cost resulting from the misuse and abuse of legal and illegal drugs and the legal and moral implications of
drug use, drug education is an area which justifies specific treatment. This booklet has developed as a result of activities used at Drug Education Skills Training Seminars conducted since 1982 by the Alcohol and Drugs Programs Unit of the Department of Education and Division of Health Promotion of the Department of Health.
