Since 1982, a questionnaire has been sent annually to all nurses registered and enrolled with the Northern Territory Nurses Registration Board, when Annual Practicing Certificates (APC's) become due for renewal.
Recipients are requested to complete and return the questionnaire to assist in monitoring the nursing workforce, and to provide a profile of nurses registered and enrolled in the Territory.
Response rates have varied over the years, ranging from 93.0% in 1982 to 55.6% in 1985.
Response rate in 1989 was 63.4%
