Abstract |
The primary purpose of this report is to inform and encourage community discussion on the health of mothers and their babies, the services they require and the adequacy of the services currently available to them. In addition, the report aims to provide feedback to midwives, Aboriginal health workers, community health nurses and medical practitioners involved with maternal and child health. Ultimately, this report aims to act as a source of information for the community, policy makers, health planners and health project implementation teams in the initiation, development, implementation and evaluation of health programs.
