Abstract
Valdora Minerals N.L. is the owner of Rustlers Roost Gold Mine (RR). The mine consists of an open cut and heap leach facility situated approximately I 00 km south east of Darwin and on the Arnhem Highway (Fig. 1 ). Mining commenced in the project area in the late 1940's/early 1950's. This report summarises the results of the first 12 months of baseline monitoring and discusses the implications of the mosquito species, their relative numbers, and the spatial and temporal distribution of the mosquito species in the area. The results of a follow up field inspection on 5 March 1996 are also presented.
