Abstract
The Blackmore River Prawn Farm was approved for construction after going through the Public Environmental Report (PER) process. As part of the PER process, there was a requirement for the proponent to assess the actual and potential biting insect situation at the development site. This report presents the results of the baseline biting insect trapping from June 2003 to May 2004 and mosquito larval surveys, and discusses the implications of the results of the trapping and mosquito larval surveys.
