| Abstract: | The detection of Ae. aegypti on Groote Eylandt initiated an immediate survey and control operation by ME to determine if the species was established in the Alyangula port area or the town, and to eliminate any possible on-shore establishment. This report details the methods and results of the Ae. aegypti surveillance and eradication and enhanced activities carried out on Groote Eylandt and other nearby areas in the NT between 2006 and 2008 under the Groote Eylandt Aedes aegypti Eradication Project. |
