Abstract
The Australian and Northern Territory governments support a variety of health services that deliver care for boriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Northern Territory (NT). In 2009, the NT Aboriginal Health Forum introduced an indicator reporting system to monitor Aboriginal health outcomes and the performance of health services and provide feedback to communities. The NT Aboriginal Health Key Performance Indicator (AHKPI) system collects data from 21 health service providers and 84 communities across the NT that deliver care primarily for Aboriginal people and monitor trends against clinical performance indicators.
