Abstract |
The Teaching Notes for the Post-Basic Program are intended for Territory-wide use and must be sufficiently general to be applicable to teachers of all Health Workers from the Central Desert to the Coastal North. They should, therefore, be viewed as a basis or core from which to work rather than as inflexible instructions for teaching. The success of the whole program will depend on the creative and enthusiastic use of the notes by tutors, and others involved in instruction in the field, with support and assistance from regional resources.
Each topic within a module has a general aim and a number of specific teaching and learning objectives which define what a tutor should present to cover the content decided upon, and what skills and knowledge the Health Worker should be able to demonstrate at the completion of instruction.
