| Abstract |
This report presents the 1994 Northern Territory perinatal statistics. These are compiled from the NT Midwives’ [data] Collection and the Termination of Pregnancy Notification system, with additional information coming from Births, Deaths and Marriages (NT), the Coroner’s Office and the Congenital Abnormality Notification system.
The purpose of the report is to document and summarise the data collected and to provide feedback to midwives, Aboriginal health workers, community health nurses and doctors involved with maternal and child health. Together with previous reports, it also acts as a source of information for consumers, health planners, policy makers and non-government organisations.
