Abstract |
Sixty six rural and remote stores in the Northern Territory (NT) were surveyed between April and June 2005. A standard basket of foods was priced in each of the stores. This basket is sufficient to provide
foods for a hypothetical family of six for a fortnight. A major supermarket and corner store in each of the district centres were surveyed for comparison of prices.
